official permission

You can't imagine the thrilling conversations we've been having.
We've been working on this for over three months now, pulling apart & reconfiguring our previous work, speaking with artists and scholars and experts, lusting over and trying to bring in some great existing pieces, encouraging and working with people to develop new ones, co-ordinating with NIMAC, and speaking with the Antiquities Department. We're getting a whole lot of support all around.
With the exhibition more or less finalised we've started developing an educational program to accompany it (in many ways this is the most important part of the project: we're taking on themes from 'at Maroudia's', developing activities based on specific works to target a particular age-group, and connecting this with the exhibition over at NIMAC), we've also come a long way to set-up a series of academic round-tables, which might actually be turning into a conference in early December (there are so many issues and things raised by this museum intervention, there's no way we can do justice to them alone), we've organised three evening performances to take place in the Museum which are going to blow your trousers off, and we're working hard on the exhibition catalogue.
And yesterday morning we realised that what we thought was official approval to set-up was actually .. not. It was a day of rapid decision making and frantic letter writing.
We're keeping our fingers crossed!
